Online Red Kettle Donations

Bell Ringers with the Salvation Army are getting a helping hand from technology this holiday season. For only the sixth year, folks who don't have cash on them when they pass by the bright red kettles, can make an online donation.

The online donations make it easier for the growing number of people shopping and paying bills online to help others in need.

Donations to the online red kettles allow the Salvation Army to assist people in need of food, clothing, utility assistance, toys at Christmas and much more.

Organizers say, 100% of donations are tax deductible and will stay in the communities where they were raised. Between 2008 and 2009 Online Red Kettle Donations increased a whopping 103%
